Hyderabad – Augumbe, Karnataka – Hyderabad (1500 Kilometres - July 2017)

Fondly called the Cherrapunji of South India, what awaited us at the end of our ride was truly beautiful. The ride was challenging yet an amazing one. We rode under a canopy of trees lined on both sides of the highway.

My friend Sridhar on his Benelli TNT 300 and I, started our ride from Secunderabad at sunrise and unfortunately, we had to halt at Shivamoga for the night as his bike broke-down. We rode for 603 km until Shivamoga. We covered the remaining 58 km the next day to reach Thirthahalli where we had booked a homestay in a spice plantation. It was a simple yet beautiful stay amidst nature spiced up with tasty home-cooked food prepared by our host. The following day, we rode to Augumbe and visited the Kukke Subramanya Swami Temple. Later, we headed back to spend the night at Thirthahalli. We started our ride back to Hyderabad the next morning at 6:00 AM and reached at 8:30 PM.
